Back to the St. Petersburg Market

Updated: Jun 21

We are back to the Saturday Morning Market. That's saturdaymorningmarket.com This time I am ready and prepared with my re-useable bags and a list and of course my mask.

My first stop is the Fresh Baked German Bread. Their venue is laid out beautifully with fresh made bread masterpieces. There are a variety of breads to choose from, such as: semolina sesame bread, cheese bread, muesli, and rosemary garlic (my personal favorite). I bought it the last time we were there. It didn’t last long at our house. I thought rosemary garlic would go nicely with a roast of pork dinner with roasted apples. Some of the other choices of breads are rye, artisan Italian, whole wheat, and white just to name a few. They also had snacks to go, I noticed their muffins were quite popular. Check out their booth, you can’t miss it.

My next stop was the Life Farms vendor, they had beautiful greens laid out on their tables. They are an organic and sustainable farm located in Clearwater.

Some of the ingredients to my elegant salad I picked up were Flower Power microgreens, which include broccoli, arugula, cabbage, red amaranth, daikon radish, kale kohlrabi, and nasturtium flowers. They have a lot of microgreens to choose from, including a beet mix and rainbow mix and sunflower to name a few. I picked up their baby leaf blend, as well as their red leaf lettuce. Can’t wait to get started!

My next stop was The Dancing Goat, where I needed to pick up some goat cheese. They have a variety of products from their farm located in Tampa. They had goats milk, chicken, quail and duck eggs, goat milk soaps and yogurt to name a few. They are very knowledgeable and great to talk to. Don’t forget to stop in at the Dancing Goat.

I stopped off at the fresh produce market, where I could not resist picking up fresh strawberries and scallions for my salad. But, my basket ended up with just a little more than that. I am sure the pictures will be self explanatory.

To end the day, you can’t visit the Market without taking a time out to go see the St. Pete Pier. Such a great place to walk and see the views of the water. You could end it with nice drink of wine at the end of the Pier.

Here are some of the views on and near the pier.
