Prep time: 15-20 min.
Cook time: 25 min.@ 350 degrees F
Ingredients:
2c. cleaned quartered strawberries
1c. cleaned blueberries
1c. raspberries
1c. cleaned blackberries
1/2c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. lemon zest
Crisp topping
2c. old fashioned oats
1/2c. flour
1/2c. almond flour
1/4tsp. salt
1c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 stick of cold butter
Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees f.
Spray 4 ramekins (4.5inches across) with non-stick spray.
In a large bowl add all of the berries and 1/2c. granulated sugar, 2 tbsp. flour, and lemon zest.
Lightly incorporate the ingredients together, without breaking down the berries too much and keeping their shape intact.
Pour the berry mixture into 4 small prepared ramekins, set aside.
In another bowl add the dry ingredients with 1 stick of cold butter cut into small to medium pieces.
Incorporate everything together, until the oat mixture resembles a crumbly texture.
To finish of the ramekins of berries, add a good amount of the crumbly mixture over top, a little overflow is ok because as the berries cook down it will leave more room for the oat mixture to adjust.

This simple rustic dish can be made with any fruit that you choose. This is what I call a Bumble Berry mixture which is multiple different berries baked together. You could add rhubarb to this dish easily, you would have to add a little more sugar to the berries. This dish is a perfect pairing with vanilla bean Ice cream.
This is a comfort dish I have grown up with, except we would use apples and/or rhubarb, a serve it with warm custard. This would usually be served on a cold, wintery evening or for Sunday supper dessert. How I miss those days. What is your comfort dessert dish? I would love to know.
AS ALWAYS, YOUR FEED BACK IS GOOD!
