Honey-Mustard Peppery Bacon

Bake time:15 min.@ 350 in the oven
Ingredients:
5-10 peices of thick cut applewood bacon
1 tablespoons dijon mustard
2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons fresh ground cracked pepper
1 sheet tray
non-stick spray
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a sheet tray with non-stick spray, lay out the thick slices of bacon, and place them in the oven until the bacon begins to crisp.
While the bacon is cooking, mix mustard and honey in a bowl.
When the bacon is just starting to crisp, use a pastry brush to apply the honey mustard to each slice liberally.
Sprinkle with a little brown sugar and return to the oven until the bacon is crispy (about 5 more minutes).
Once you remove the bacon from the oven, sprinkle with cracked pepper and place on a cooling rack.
It's simple, easy, and offers a sweet crispy bite of bacon.

You can serve this crispy sweet bacon with a morning brunch by standing the bacon slices up in a cup for easygrab and go! It also goes well on a charcuterie board or in a turkey lettuce sandwich with mayonnaise!
