The Tarnished Apple's Bloody Mary Breakfast

This is my Bloody Mary Breakfast with candied bacon. I thought a Bloody Mary Breakfast would hit the spot with this seasoning salt.

For my friends at Livia’s Seasoning Salt, please enjoy! This is for you! For those of you who have never had Livia's seasoning salt. This is seasoning consists of salt, pepper and garlic. I really think it needed something hearty to go with. Breakfast is my favorite time of day, any day. This is something I thought would be nice for one of those Sunday morning breakfasts after a night out on the town.


My Simple Bloody Mary

Makes: 1 highball glass


Ingredients:

Livia’s Seasoning salt, pepper, garlic seasoning

1-2 shots of your favorite Vodka

Ice

Tomato juice

1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice, 1 slice of lemon

2 squirts of Worcestershire sauce

1-2 shots of tabasco sauce (depending on how hot you like it).

Sprinkle of celery salt

Candied bacon (recipe below)

3 Large olives

3 tbsp. olive juice


Directions:

  • Pour 1/4c.Livia’s seasoning onto a small plate, also adding 1 tbsp. of bacon seasoning in with the mix.

  • Run a wedge of lemon around the rim of the glass and coat with the seasoning mix.

  • Half fill the glass with ice, add a 1-2 shots of vodka (to your own discretion.)

  • Fill the tomato juice up to 3/4 of the way

  • Add Worcestershire sauce, tabasco, olive juice, lemon juice

  • add a sprinkle of Livia's seasoning and celery seed

  • Stir

Now it’s time to dress it up a little.

I used my candy bacon, which is quite easy to do.

  • Make sure you spray the sheet tray with non-stick spray, it could get a little sticky!

  • Set the oven to 350 degrees.

  • lay the bacon out on a tray and sprinkle with a little of Livia’s seasoning, then cover the top of the bacon with a little brown sugar.

  • Cook 10-15 min. or until the bacon crisps up.

  • take the bacon out of the oven,

  • take the bacon off of the pan and lay out on a cookie rack cool. (make sure you spray the rack so the bacon doesn't stick).

  • use a skewer for the bacon, it looks great with the Bloody Mary! I added olives, with a slice of lemon.

You can add celery, shrimps make it whatever you want!

You can use Livia's seasoning around the rim of the glass for a switch up!


My BLT

For the Bacon, lettuce, tomato Sandwich, I used a toasted everything bagel and coat both the cut side up of the bagel with my Horseradish Mayo.

Then add some ice burg lettuce, a slice of an heirloom tomato , They’re just so pretty and usually 1 slice covers the bagel. Top with your crisp bacon and sprinkle a little of Livia's Seasoning over top then dig in!


Horseradish Mayo

Dressing:

1/2c. Mayonnaise

2 tbsp. honey mustard

1 tsp. horseradish (for a kick)

A sprinkle of Livia’s Seasoning

This BLT goes great with that Bloody Mary! If you are looking for something hearty to have for Sunday brunch this should do it!
