Playing with my food again!!

Updated: May 14, 2024

Lol , I have been playing with my food again, but it's finding the right type of food that I will think is Tarnished Apple worthy and will be sexy and what I think is "good lookin" on a plate.

So I may not post as much as I should but I would like to think when I do, it's the right shot!

I do love to create beautiful dishes for my family and I love to use fresh local ingredients.

In this case I bought the poke tuna from Frenchy's Stone Crab & Seafood Market, They have a wonderful selection of local fresh fish. They are located at 501 Causeway Blvd, Dunedin Florida. www.frenchysseafood.com

As I have mentioned before Dunedin is still one of our favorite spots. And if you want fresh local fish and maybe even a little lunch I suggest you try a Poke bowl at Frenchy's Seafood Market. You have to come and see the friendly people here.

Here's, what I did for this yummy poke appetizer. I fried a few small wonton wrappers in light veggie oil then topped with black& plain sesame seeds with flaked salt. Another option is to bake them instead of frying and brush them lightly with your favorite oil and bake on 350 until light and crispy.

I added a little fresh mango with lime & honey and a little chili flakes with a small dice of avocado in there.

Of course I topped with the tuna poke that was mixed in with a ginger & soy sauce that the seafood market uses. I added a little extra honey and lime as well. Which I thought finished the tuna off nicely.

I like the thought of this elegant appetizer with a little sake on the side to sip on.

For lunch I put together a little poke stack! With sushi rice, avocado &mango salad with tuna poke . Topped with microgreens and spicy sriracha sauce. Yummy!

This is always fun for me! Please let me know what you think of my photos and I hope you try this at home!!
