Exploring St. Pete's Pier

As usual, the sun is shining here in Florida and it's a perfect day for a blogger to go explore! Anyone who lives here will tell you that there is always something to do here. My husband and I are headed to one of our favorite spots in St. Pete's, down by the Vinoy Park area. It is such a beautiful spot, especially down by the water. If you're lucky, you might catch a glimpse of a dolphin or two.

Along with the beautiful parks on the waterfront, there’s lots of restaurants, cafes, gelato, little boutiques and art galleries along the way. https://stpetepier.org/

There is always the pier where there are vendors selling their wares, a great place to walk and explore. to walk and explore. This morning we happen to bump into someone quite familiar and I couldn’t resist a little hug from The Lightning Bug! Go Tampa Bay Lightning!

In amongst the vendors along the walkway to the pier was a cute little set up called “Island Flavor & Tings” with a really sweet Island vibe. Their rum cakes and mango breads looked really good. I couldn’t resist on trying a sample of one of their breads they were selling: Helena’s Mango Bread. Later, I had wished I had bought a loaf. It was so good, moist, great tasty Caribbean flavors. I did see saffron sauces as well. If you like to cook with island flavors, next time you’re in St. Pete's, check it out! The vendor was friendly and knowledgeable.

Island Flavors & Tings have a restaurant located in Gulfport, Florida with the great tastes of the Islands. I will make sure to check it out next time we are in Gulfport. Love Island food! There’s lots of great information on their site: www.islandflavorsandtings.com

My husband and I stopped in at 400 Beach Seafood & Tap house for a little nibble of seafood and of course a mimosa, great food and great company. What a sweet little spot along the way. They have really great art pieces on the wall inside the restaurant and great service: www.400beachseafood.com

All in all, another day of adventures flew by, especially when you’re having fun and meeting great people along the way. Remember to check out my website and don't forget to subscribe! For recipes and road trips go to www.thetarnishedapple.com. I am also on Pinterest, Instagram and Facebook.
