Prep Time: 25 min.
Serves: 5-6 16 ounce glasses
Ingredients:
6 lemons
4c. cold water
2c. strawberry puree
1 1/3c. sugar
3/4c Lemon cello
3/4c. Strawberry vodka
Extra ice
Garnish
Red candied sugar
2 sliced lemons
Extra berries for garnish
To start, in a large pitcher juice 6 lemons through a strainer so you can catch the seeds.
Add 4 cups of cold water
Add 1 cup of granulated sugar
Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
For the strawberry puree, you can make it from scratch with 2 quarts of cleaned hulled berries in the blender with 1/3c of sugar (depending how sweet you like it). You can add a squeeze of a fresh lemon juice for brightness.
When the berries are pureed add them to the lemonade and whisk until blended (remember to taste for flavor).
I like a little extra pucker in my Strawberry –Lemonade.
To add that little extra punch! I added 3/4c. of Strawberry Vodka and 3/4c. of Limoncello into the pitcher of lemonade.
Add some slices of lemons and some fresh strawberries to the lemonade with lots of ice.
If you are making a family friendly pitcher of the Strawberry-Lemonade just add 1 ounce of each of the liquors per glass for the adults.
To garnish each glass, I used a half a lemon around the rim of the glass then dipped the top of the glass in red sugar crystals.
Garnish with a slice of fresh lemon and a berry on the side of the glass.
